The Life Purpose of a Tulip
Are you on a quest to discover the meaning of life?
How can the growth of a tulip bulb offer insights into life's purpose?

Do you find yourself searching for the purpose of life?
What is your purpose? Why are we here? What is the meaning of all this?
My favorite flower is the tulip. For more reasons than just that it is a stunning, beautiful flower. It’s much deeper than that. I grew up on a flower farm mainly cultivating tulips. Our family, has growing tulips down to a science and we know the perfect conditions, stages, and cycles needed for optimal blooms. I watched in wonder learning their growing process.
Did you know that internally tulips already know their life purpose.
Tulips are grown from a bulb. What is fascinating about tulip bulbs, is that when they are in bulb stage…internally they already have every petal, stem, leaves and ingredients needed to fully blossom. Their purpose is already staged and all they need to do, is grow to their full potential. If you cut a tulip bulb in half, you will see every little detail that the flower is to become. The bulb is like an onion with many layers surrounding the flower. This is the food and nutrition the flower needs to completely grow.
The amazing thing is that tulips must have a cold and dark period of time in order to start the process. Without it they will not fully produce. During this time, they must root. The roots grow down into the soil, which creates an anchor in order to push UP to the light. The flower knows it must push up to the light in order to completely blossom. Over time, the outer edges of the bulb serve as nutrients and food for the flower. Again, the flower must push up and grow toward the light in order to mature.
There is no question during this process, Why am I here? What am I doing? Why is this so hard? What is my purpose? Because it already knows…its purpose is to fully blossom in the light.

So, why do we find ourselves get stuck? Why do we stop growing? We question the process. Which causes us to stop moving. So we stay in the dark. And instead of pushing through the growing pains…like feeling emotions that hurt, dealing with painful beliefs, losses, and memories. We create distractions for ourselves that keep us from feeling the pain…so then we are stuck in the dark. We become stagnant. We stop growing toward the light.

God created us with the intention of growing to our fullest potential. It is up to us to push through the challenges and obstacles that come our way in order to reach that potential. Remember that you are already perfect and meant to shine in your own unique way. Keep growing and striving towards your purpose.

Yes, not all tulips fully bloom, due to weather conditions, too much water, or too many extra nutrients. So some bulbs, for whatever reason are not able to completely blossom. But that doesn’t mean, that they aren’t perfect within. That means they already learned something within the growing process that got them to that perfection earlier. They didn’t need to blossom in the light to fully bloom.
You are already perfect. Exactly where you are right now. You are meant to fully grow and bloom in the light. To shine, glow, sparkle, to share your beauty with others, because believe me you are seen, you are noticed, you are magnificent. This is your purpose. To push through, endure the growing pains, break through the darkness to get to the light. And even then, you will keep growing into the perfect blossom as you are meant to be.
